Oh hey there, big reader.
We noticed you noticing us and wanted to explain what we’re about. As a society, we’ve become somewhat disconnected; of course, we have technology and mediums that allow us to keep in touch (duh), but our time is now often worth more than money. How often do we as a society find ourselves immediately categorizing things and people, not out of accuracy, but out of convenience and a need to be comfortable with our surroundings?
Here at The Liminal, we have a few objectives:
The first is to feature real stories of real people, as they relay their experiences in order to deepen our understandings of other cultures, lifestyles, identifications and the quirks of what makes people who they are. How can any of us truly progress if we don’t experience, discuss or learn more about each other as readers and as a community? Our Publisher & Founder Paige Strand feels the strongest method to ending stigmatism is knowledge, conversation and a little bit of listening.
The second is to build a higher level of compassion and understanding within our community, while inspiring and empowering you with tips and advice regarding health, career, travel and other categories, which can be explained here.
Our third is to provide opportunity and confidence to writers who are chomping at the bit to get experience in an already very competitive industry. We also ask individuals with unique lifestyles and experiences to connect with us in order to share your story. Really though, make us feel things! You can read our guidelines and submit a pitch here.
So whether you are here for the career and travel advice, health tips or to see from another’s perspective for a few minutes, we invite you to subscribe to our weekly newsletter and share your favorite articles with the people you care about!
